I hope this email finds you well. Our names are Emma Hagen, Morgan Murphy, and Brenna Osksa, and we are graduate occupational therapy students at the University of Mary in Billings, MT. We are reaching out to you on behalf of our research team, which is conducting a survey to examine the factors that impact the integration of health literacy in occupational therapy practice in the United States. Health literacy is a critical aspect of healthcare, influencing patient outcomes and health equity. Our goal is to identify the factors that impact the integration of health literacy in occupational therapy practice in the United States. There is very little literature or research published about health literacy and occupational therapy. Would your State OT association be willing to assist us by posting the survey attached below on your website, social media channels, or including it in your next newsletter? We believe that with your help, we can reach a broader audience and gather meaningful data that reflects the experiences and practices of OTs across the nation. If you choose to disseminate our survey, we have included a brief synopsis below to post along with it. Please participate in a research project exploring the factors that impact the integration of health literacy in occupational therapy practice in the United States. This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and is voluntary and completely confidential. You may stop/withdraw at any time. Thank you for your time and participation. If you have any questions regarding this survey, please contact: University of Mary OTD research supervisor: Dr. Janeene Sibla EdD, OTD, OTR/L [email protected]. The survey is designed to be concise and should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The insights gathered will be invaluable in shaping future educational resources and strategies to enhance health literacy within OT practice. We are happy to provide any additional information or answer any questions you may have. Thank you for considering our request. Russell Sage College is conducting a study regarding if occupational therapists are addressing mental health in individuals who have experienced trauma As a certified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant (OT), we ask that you complete this survey to help us see if OTs address trauma during their treatment sessions in order to understand the significance of addressing mental health during the OT treatment. We aim to share results through presentation and publication to increase awareness on addressing mental health in individuals who have experienced trauma. The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete. Your participation in this survey is greatly appreciated. Your feedback provides insights into what is currently happening when people come to OT’s for varying diagnoses and whether or not their trauma is being looked at. The survey is anonymous.
